Distinctively Dionysian is a journal for the self-owned, for those who defy the static and refuse all cages—collectivist, ideological, or otherwise. It is written for my own pleasure, and for those whose spirit flickers with mine: kindred exiles, rare affinities, insurrectionary hearts.
This is not an educational act—it is indulgence. It is reclamation. A fire-lit feast of original writings, art, translations, and resurrected ghosts. Dionysian exists in both French et English, and often lifts lost or forbidden texts into new light—through the lens of language, refusal, and sovereign delight.
There is no agenda here. I simply enjoy writing—especially now, having raised a crew of remarkable enfants—and creating something for the wild, the unreadable, and the unclaimed. This is for those who laugh at ‘isms,’ who topple idols, who see in sin a wellspring.
Take my hand, you gloriously ungovernable poètes maudits… let us revel in the seduction of creative nothing.

ON GETTING DISTINCTIVELY DIONYSIAN INTO YOUR HANDS
Distinctively Dionysian now falls under the Bacchus Editions private press (with a proper site forthcoming), yet our way remains the same: we prefer good old-fashioned letters in the mail. We are not a mass-output affair but a constellation of affinities, mail conspiracies, and the slow pleasure of thoughtful exchange. To receive Distinctively Dionysian in your mailbox, you simply send $18 cash per issue—yes, inside a letter. (This seems to confuse non-anarchs, but it is quite simple: you place the money in a lovely note, you send it, et voilà.) We are not merchants; we tend to our affinities. We value face-to-face relationships, correspond with care, and travel often—routing mail through different countries, writing as desire strikes. Demands and deadlines do not concern us. That said, simple issue orders are filled as timely as possible—when the post cooperates.
A Note on Trades
We also trade on the basis of mutuality—j’adore it. Show us you understand the heart and effort put into such a thing: send along what you make. Art, zines, writings, spells, strangeness—mail conspiracy is divine.
